IDOLM@STER 2 PS3 ENGLISH PATCH PS3
“The 2” for the PS3 was mainly story-based and heavily relied on the raising simulation aspect of the game, so it can get a little confusing to choose the correct conversation options if you don’t understand Japanese, but for ONE FOR ALL” a sequel for that game for the PS3 basically takes that aspect of the raising sim and disregards it to a degree to focus mainly on the live stage performances.īandai Nanco did release did release the “SHINY FESTA” PSP games as a port for the iOS with an English translation a few years ago, but due to poor sales, were pulled from the Apple Store shortly after. The games have been pretty import-friendly for the most, save for a couple of games.

It basically has all the elements you described such as a raising simulator and it also incorporates a rhythm game aspect which can be pretty fun! Not to mention the graphics are the best aspect of the entire franchise to date! I’d recommend trying that out as I had a blast playing that, and I also recently received a platinum trophy for that game too.Īlthough the game I played is entirely in Japanese, it was fairly easy to play through, and with helpful tips/guides online, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem to navigate through the menus. The newest game, STELLA STAGE” recently came out in Japan two months ago for the PS4. So, if you would recomend any of the Idolmaster games, which one do you think could be the most interesting in terms of design?, or the one that is most enjoyable to play?, i'd like to check them out, if i can't get a translated version, i guess i'll have to just leave the story out ot the picture, tho it looks like story is kind of a big part of these games (?). I'm interested in checking some of the games and get a better understanding of how they make their game design work, just to try to figure out if it could be possible to use similar ideas and make it work over seas.

I know Idolmaster is kind of big in Japan, but for what i've seen, i completely get why major publishers are shying away from getting these games into the western market, not only the genres they mix are not particulary popular here, the themes and story are completely alien for most of the public over here.īut given how popular this franchise is, i was kind of surprised to not find any fan projects trying to translate or emulate properly the games for a more mainstream audience.

I'm an animation and game development student, and recently i've come across a gaming genere that doesn't seem to be reciving much love from triple A and western audiences overall, that is raising sim games, which are apparently much more loved in Japan.Īnyways i was going trhough some of the games of this genre i played back in the day and remembered this one game i got when i was into otaku culture for the PSP, that was partially translated and was from Idolmaster, and thought, hey, this was kind of interesting, it mixed a couple of game genres into one game and could have some potential.
